Made from glitter, confetti, plastic tube confetti, glass beads, crushed glass, reflective pigments, oil stick, clay, concrete, utility paint, gesso, oil, acrylic, damar, uv archival spray on stretched canvas.

I wanted to make a piece that captured the disjointed magic of driving through modernity. I encrusted glittering barnacles of glass beads among regular forms of concrete and plaster. Using reflective pigments, glitter, and confetti I tried to replicate the blinding flash of headlights, streetlamps and advertisements. A Hannah Barbera fantasy in midcentury geometry.
